What do the Health Sciences Need to Learn About Disability?

This event was a public dialogue between Lisa I. Iezzoni, MD, MSc, one of the country’s leading health services researchers on disability, and Kristi L. Kirschner MD, from the UICOM Health Humanities Program in the Department of Medical Education and UIC’s Department of Disability and Human Development. Dr Iezzoni will be asked to share her perspectives about the complex and often problematic relationship between health care and disability, the most pressing issues in the health care system today for people with disabilities, and her suggestions for how health professions schools need to respond.
